THE WORLD WE DARE TO IMAGINE THE BITCOIN FOUNDATION I am of the belief that this "magic internet money" can have dramatically positive implications on the world, if adopted at scale. Bitcoin is a digital and global monetary. It allows people to send or receive money across the internet, even to people they do not know/trust and this exchange occurs without a link to a real identity. However, there is a need for an official international organization that safeguards the industry, the key stakeholders, and ensures fair practices. I like bitcoin because it allows us to solve a variety of problems that current fiat currencies suffer from (for example): International Remittances: One of the problems with the current payment system is that there is the need for a middle man. For instance, as an international student from India, every time my parents have to send me money - they have to go through AML and ATF (Anti money laundering and anti terrorist funding) ...

BITCOIN I am of the belief that this "magic internet money" cam have dramatically positive implications on the world, if adopted at scale. Rather than explaining why bitcoin, I'd like to highlight two urgent real world problems, that can be solved through bitcoin and solutions built over it. Hyper - Inflation : The world we live in is operated and ruled by fiat currencies - US Dollar, British Pound, Indian Rupee etc. The value of these fiat currencies are extremely significant and inexplicably tied to the destiny of the people using the. This value is an outcome of the government that "manages" the currency and tries to maintain/ improve the purchasing power of their population. However, this government "management" has led to the various currency crisis, that are peppered across history. Whether, it is pre World War Germany or Venezuela/ Argentina right now, governments have abused this fiat monetary system by recklessly printing money to finance ...

Random Blog Post GUTS TICKETS Last November, during the apparent "mania" surrounding cryptocurrencies I invested in an ICO... Initial Coin Offering. Its similar to an IPO except, instead of owning shares of a company - I owned tokens of a network (GET Protocol in this instance). I hope to use this blog post to bring more awareness to this company and the problem they are trying to tackle...not investment advice. Simple Explanation: You want to go for a concert…its sold out – now… Q. how do you buy your tickets? Ans. From the secondary market (resellers/scalpers) who charge ridiculously high prices and sometimes don’t even you sell you the real ticket. This has angered artists, fans, and everyone that wants to experience any event that requires a ticket – there is a rampant problem of ticket frauds, ticket scalping and fake tickets. Solution = GET Protocol Technical explanation: The GET Protocol is a blockchain-based protocol that is use...

Chapter 5 In the Same Boat: On the Road with Bill Gates In this chapter, we follow Bill Gates Sr as he lobbies to preserve the estate tax. He was rather interestingly positioned to argue for this tax as his son was one of the wealthiest individuals to ever live. He presents his argument to a group of politicians who are initially skeptical of Bill Gates Sr and his proposition. His argument for the tax is based on the notion that we need to pay back “society” for “societies investments”. He uses the example of the opportunities presented to an individual in a developed country like the United States versus someone in a relatively underdeveloped area and the advantage provided by location. He does this by referring to Uncle Sam as the ultimate angel investor as the foundations laid by the government provides fundamental building blocks for entrepreneurship and innovative thinking. Therefore, this tax is a logical repayment for this indirect “debt” or sense of gratitude towards...
